Job Description:
As an IT Project Manager, you will lead and oversee projects aimed at delivering transformational solutions for our clients. Your role involves managing projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives and goals, and completing projects on time and on budget. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, developers, and admins, to analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement scalable cloud-based applications. Relationship building with clients is pivotal; you will actively engage with stakeholders, build rapport, and manage expectations to foster long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Lead Project Initiatives: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, resources, and deliverables.
Manage Project Lifecycle: Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational objectives.
Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget, making adjustments as necessary to stay within financial constraints.
Build Trusted Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor. This involves proactive communication, responsiveness to concerns, and demonstrating reliability in meeting commitments.
Understand Client Needs: Conduct thorough discussions and analyses to understand not only the stated requirements but also the client's underlying business objectives and strategic goals.
Provide Expert Advice: Draw on industry knowledge, best practices, and past experiences to offer informed recommendations and solutions that align with client goals. This includes suggesting alternative approaches when beneficial.
Salesforce Product Expertise: Leverage a solid understanding of the Salesforce product suite to validate key design options and present proposed solution designs.
Collaborate Effectively: Foster a collaborative team environment where ideas are freely exchanged among team members, stakeholders and clients. Encourage participation in decision-making and ensure that diverse perspectives are considered.
Manage Expectations: Set clear expectations from the onset regarding project scope, timelines, budget, and deliverables. Continuously communicate progress, milestones, and any changes to ensure alignment and minimize unexpected issues.
Facilitate Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess project performance, gather feedback from stakeholders, and identify opportunities for process optimization and enhancement. Implement lessons learned from past projects to improve future outcomes.
Empower Decision Making: Enable clients and stakeholders to make informed decisions by providing relevant information, data drive insights, and presenting viable options. Guide decision making processes to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential risks to project success, and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and take decisive actions to minimize their impact.
Resource Allocation: Work closely with resource management to ensure the project has the right resources with the appropriate skills and expertise to deliver on project requirements efficiently. Continuously assess resource availability and capabilities and collaborate on resource planning and allocation to optimize project outcomes.
Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet the agreed-upon standards and specifications. Conduct thorough testing, reviews, and inspections to verify quality and reliability.
Communication Management: Establish communication channels and protocols to facilitate seamless information flow among team members, stakeholders, and clients. Ensure that all relevant parties are kept informed of project status, decisions, and updates.
Adaptability & Flexibility: Navigate changes and uncertainties with agility, adjusting project plans and strategies as needed to accommodate evolving client needs, market conditions, or technological advancements.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including requirements, plans, status reports, and issue logs. Provide timely and comprehensive reporting to stakeholders and management on project status, achievements, and challenges.
Change Management: Manages changes to project scope, schedule, and costs effectively, ensuring all changes are documented, approved, and communicated to all stakeholders.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Mentorship and Guidance: Provide mentoring and guidance to team members, fostering their professional development and growth within the project environment.
